How to use in your fleet
Available only through a fabricator, the anti-starship arachnid is a dedicated big-vessel hunter. Fast and deadly, with these ships one can largely ignore the starship component of a normal wave. The engine-damage aspect of this ship is more of an after-thought than a primary function, as a cap of these will bring down many a starship in a single volley (~15,000,000).
On the other hand, it only fires on starships as advertised (and hybrids) and AIs send few starships overall on attack waves. Guardians are not targetable. For these reasons, some players complain that this is one of the least useful fabricators.
How to counter when in the AI fleet
In general, AIs cannot unlock this ship, with the exception of expermentalist AIs.
