This page is just a place to keep conventions down for how we're doing things. This won't contain actual in-game information, aside from how it applies to organizing this wiki.

Tables

Ideally, to keep things clean let's use templates to reference the tables for ship data. (The tables should not be in-page, but passed by reference.

Ship Speeds on Tables

Ship speeds will vary in game vs the exported data tables. Player ships get a 2x speed multiplier, the AI gets none. (This bonus is not mentioned in game). If you access the data in the data export, ship speeds will be 1/2 what the player will see in game.

As a side - Exported data will be assuming the player is using "high" ship caps. Players using other settings in-game will find different results. Let's use the "normal", which will have ships doing 2x exported damage and having 2x exported health.

Due to the player seeing these numbers in game, the numbers used in this wiki should reflect what the player themselves will see, not the default speeds. (Ergo, AI War:Acid Sprayers should have a speed of 120, not a speed of 60 as used by the AI.

  • First, make sure that your current game has been saved, or that you do not care about the current game, because this will shut down AI War after it completes.
  • Second, hit F3 to bring up the in-game debug display.
  • Third, hold Ctrl+Shift+F8. This will shut down AI War almost instantly.
  • Lastly, look in your Game Data Location (visible via a large textbox at the bottom of your Settings screen) to find a Data folder, which will now have a bunch of Excel xml files in it, with all sorts of stats.

I'm not sure how this has been done up until now (it seems to be inconsistent). We'll have to go over the existing pages to confirm.
