Am I Ever Able To Build Core/Mark V Units?
A: Yes, but only in certain really specific circumstances. These ships represent the foreign new technologies developed by the AI's, which mostly only show up near the AI home planets (they also appear on some Mark IV planets). There are various fabricators on that you can discover on most maps, and which will let a single player produce Mark V ships of a single sort for as long as they control the fabricator. Aside from this, the only way to get Mark V ships would be via Parasites, Leech Starships, or other ships with the Reclamation ability.
