How Do I Scrap My Units?
A: To scrap any unit, select it and hit the delete key on your keyboard. You will get a warning screen which you can click or press enter to pass through. Multiple units or even entire systems can be scrapped all at once, but you only get one warning no matter how much you have selected.
Why Would I Scrap My Units?
A: Scrapping can be useful for ships that are in a remote and useless location, especially scouts that you don't need to keep on a world any longer. Some structures like Zenith Caches and Distribution Nodes only have an effect when they are destroyed. Once you have captured the world that they reside on, the only way to destroy them is by scrapping them. Scrapping usually returns 10% of the metal and crystal cost for the scrapped unit (less in some specific cases) and is a way to jump start your economy if you're desperate.
