Elites are well... Elites. Elite shiplines take up the single elite slot available in most fleets, meaning you can only have one elite shipline per flagship. However, elites certainly live up to their name, are powerful enough to incur AIP when they're claimed, and they come in two varieties:

- Cruisers: Only 1 per fleet and they're usually a bit slow, but they tend to be extremely tanky and be very good at what they were made to do. (and although I haven't seen all the cruisers yet, all the ones I have ecnountered were capable of producing drones or emplacements of some sort, such as the voidpiercer curiser which can spawn spatial rifts)

- Destroyers (added with the Neinzul Abyss expansion): Destroyers are typically 2 ships per fleet, and each have their own unique set of wards that they can produce (wards are units that orbit their ancestor unit). Honestly, you can just treat them as miniature cruisers, but with less health a bit more speed usually.
