In A Valley Without Wind, defeating regular monsters does not grant you any experience points. Experience points can be earned from various different tasks.
- Defeating Bosses
- Unlocking new recipes from profession books
- Building windshelters

Q: Hey, I though bosses were suppose to give me experience?! What gives?
A: Defeating bosses will not grant you experience if the boss is 5 levels or more below your Civ Level.
Q: I just had a NPC build a windshelter for me, why didn't I gain any experience?
A: Having a NPC build a windshelter for you will not grant you any experience. You must go to a potential windshelter site yourself and build the windshelter in order to gain any experience.
