Am I Ever Able To Build Core/Mark V Units?
A: No, those are exclusively for the AI. The only way you can ever get them is if you have parasites and use them to capture them. These ships represent the foreign new technologies developed by the AI's, which mostly only show up near the AI home planets (they also appear on some Mark IV planets).
