This page is up to date for game version 6.013 and is probably outdated. |
This fast, giant-spider-like golem can catch and immobilize large groups of ships with its many high-range paralyzing-tractor beams and powerful, engine-destroying multi-shot cannons. Golems are ancient ships lying broken around the galaxy. Capture the system they reside in to allow your forces to repair them and add these powerful ships to your fleet. The golems constructed by the Golemite AI Type have 1/2 the health of the original, broken golems that humans can repair. |

How to use in your fleet
Versatile golems, specializing in get_that_fleet_away_from_x.
Keep these moving, to spread out the engine damage, and get out of range of the hapless ships you've already slowed.
Also excels at grabbing enemy ships around a wormhole. Once it drags them through, they are quite helpless. Repeat until the threatball is gone.
How to counter when in the AI fleet
One of the few instances where you want high-cap ships or drones. Alternatively, send starships-only, so the paralyzing tractors are ignored.
Standard golem counters apply (artillery golem, spirecraft rams/penetrators/implosion).
