How to use in your fleet
Laser Gatlings are general force-multipliers in the fleet. They are soft-counters against both Fighters and Bombers by out-ranging and out-gunning them significantly. This leads to effective uses in both offensive and defensive situations. Their obvious weakness is the low health, resulting in easy 1-hit KO from Missile Frigates of equivalent mark.
How to counter when in the AI fleet
An AI unlock should not worry a player. Both MLRS Turrets and Flak Turrets offer bonuses against gatlings, although one should be mindful of their significant cap-DPS. As for fleet combat, see above.
