Built by the AI to contain ships reserved for major operations. Each barracks contains up to 1200 ships that will come active when the barracks is attacked or destroyed, or when the planet of the barracks no longer belongs to the AI. If the AI needs to store additional ships, and the planet already has a barracks, it builds carriers instead. |

How to counter when in the AI fleet
This is one of the few units that the AI can build after the game has started and will do so once there are enough ships in the system that it starts to reach its unit count cap.
This unit can also be seeded at game start with a few units inside.
The major operation referred to in the description is a Cross Planet Attack.
