Cloaked ship that cannot hit most smaller fleet ships and which must be manually targeted to fire. It does absolutely astronomical damage, and then is uncloaked and unable to fire for the next half hour. This ship is Blind, and thus requires the support of scouts or other similar ships to see its target, but otherwise it works best as a lone wolf sort of ship, delivering its payload and then returning to friendly space to rest and recuperate. Spirecraft are built from a Spirecraft Mining Enclosure built by a Spire Mining Ship. |

How to use in your fleet
Spirecraft Penetrators are cloaked, have long ranges, and can shoot pass forcefields. It is probably best to build two MkI (or one MkII+) to take down hard-hitting MkIV AI command stations, especially those guarded with a LOT of forcefields and/or Spire Shield Sphere Guard Posts. Other than that they are of little use because of long reload time. If you want to take down a guard post hiding in a forcefield, you can as well use a Spirecraft Ram.
