Pockets of human allies who still live in deep space around AI planets will occasionally send these versatile fighter/bomber hybrids to aid you in the fight against the AI at their local planet. They won't attack any AI ships that human players must normally manually target. These ships can be built at a Rebelling Human Colony once it has been rescued. |

How to use in your fleet
Stat-wise, Resistance Fighter/Bombers contain most things players wish for: speed, damage, range and radar dampening. The polycrystal hull places them ideally beside Bombers, and are well-placed to escort the latter to AI fortresses while clearing out surrounding defenders. They are not true Fighters, although with the impressive firepower they will outmuscle most fleet-ships.
Access to Resistance Fighter/Bombers and Resistance Frigates is restricted to freeing Rebel Colonies that pop up sporadically (every x hours of game time depending on dificulty) if you have switched on Human Colony Rebellions. The nice thing about them is that they offer immunity to all possible movement impedients, and so can go anywhere in the galaxy on your behalf. Just watch out for ion-IVs and ion-Vs.
