Extremely fast cloaked ship with short-range rapid fire attack. Excellent against heavy targets, but weak to opposing fleet ships. Also known as the Autocannon Minipod. |

How to use in your fleet
Appears to be a cloaked Fighter, but on closer inspection comes with different bonuses and an interesting Armor damage attribute (a minor property). Autocannon Minipods and Infiltrators are better styled as swarming Bombers that pepper away at larger targets, instead of delivering their damage in one payload. The shot damage is so low that they will do minimum damage against the more armored ships such as Bombers, at least until the Armor damage scratches away the protection.
As a cloaked assault unit, these ships will chase down enemies for you and make easier work of neutering - although don't expect them to act well alone. These sheer numbers are better for screening and softening up targets before the rest of your fleet engages. Curiously, the Minipods traded their Heavy bonus for a Turret bonus, a hull type that AI haven't used for years. This is probably one of those unlocks in which AIs would love to have.
