AI War:Dark Spire Vengeance Generator
This page is up to date for version 8.024 and should still be correct. |
Mysterious ancient structure that resembles the architecture of a rogue Spire faction. Cannot be damaged, but has no weapons. Nonetheless, it is generating a large amount of power, and that power increases with every ship that dies near the same planet. What happens when it reaches critical mass? |

How to use in your fleet
This unit is the presence of the Dark Spire Minor Faction.
How to counter when encountered
Dark Spire Vengeance Generators are painful, to say the least. If there's too much death in the planet one of these devices is in, it will spawn Dark Spire ships that are hostile to everything else, both Humans and AI. Unlike most enemies, Dark Spire will also attack every irreplaceable station and ship, including those that increase AI Progress when destroyed. The ONLY thing the Dark Spire will not attack are the AI's Command Stations. If a Vengeance Generator has been triggered, it will also spawn Dark Spire if another Generator is spawning them.
Vengeance Generators also spawn a Dark Spire ship unique to them: the Wraith, which can cloak and attack from the shadows.
To put it lightly, if violence isn't controlled in the Vengeance Generators' territory, there will be suffering (and not just for the Humans, but for the AI as well).
