Wasp
Very fast and nasty melee ship -- loses health over a 3 minute period, then self-destructs.
Created inside a Hive Golem, when these are unloaded they are uncontrollable but will viciously attack the enemy on the current planet.
Players cannot give direct orders to the wasps.

How to use in your fleet

These things are vicious, end of story. The only question you should ever concern yourself with is "Do I have enough?". In low numbers, the AI can often kill them before they get into range. Once they reach critical mass however, they quickly overwhelm any existing defenses, as well as any ships that try to assist. Note that they are not immune to graviational effects, meaning that an AI with gravity guardians will be able to handle these much more easily (comparatively) than an AI without considerable gravity effects.

Be warned that the AI homeworlds will auto-kill these (though any Neinzul Youngling Cockroaches present will be killed as well in the process).

How to counter when in the AI fleet

The AI does not get Hive Golems. This is probably for the best.
